With celebrity fans such as queen of the skyscraper heel Victoria Beckham and pop singer Christina Aguilera, I can’t think of any self-respecting shoe lover who doesn’t recognise those signature red soles, and if they don’t, then chances are they probably don’t love shoes anywhere near as much as they claim too!
Of course, I’m talking about those Gods among heels, the Christian Louboutin.
This year’s Spring/Summer offering literally had me salivating. It may sound a wee bit over the top to some, but when you see shoes this beautiful there really isn’t a better way to describe the feeling they give you. The collection is fresh, colourful and contains lashings of glitter and stylish patterns that left me giddy with joy. This season Louboutin offers a little something for everyone, from the most basic, black heeled pump to extravagant, glittering skyscraper heels with an oh-so-fashionable concealed platform (and of course, as all us skyscraper heel worshippers will know, a platform gives a little more comfort on the toes, meaning we can all stay upright, stylish and blister free for a lot longer).
My personal favourite has to be these gorgeous pony skin platforms, in delicious zebra print. Monochrome is always a winner in anyone’s wardrobe and zebra print fits in nicely with the recurring animal print trend that returns to the catwalk in some shape or form almost every season. A definite must have for every fashion minded girl who loves her heels.
Pricing for the collection has not yet been set, but the collection will be available to buy from the end of March. Credit cards at the ready ladies!
