Dark glamour, sparkle, burgundy lips and smoky eyes has been parading through this winter but it’s time for a change. With January and the new year striking this month the exact same would go for the first fully loaded Fashion issues of the year. Now, I’m of course referring to the issues and supplements that are the February magazines – Fully loaded with the Spring/Summer fashion, but of course I might as well also crown this the first official dilemma of 2013!

If you’re anything like me you would have crawled all over the magazine spreads, soaking up every little new invention that the hottest designers have brought out of the bag. This also leads me to excitedly announce that there’s no need to try every single trend in the book as you’ll conveniently end up looking more of a disaster than a guru. So what do we do? We look towards the style icons. May it be Audrey Hepburn, Rita Hayworth, Sienna Miller or Kate Moss.

My favourite choice? To me it’s obvious! Spring is peeking out from around the corner We have everything from Valentine’s Day to Easter ahead. The hours of daylight are increasing by the week and a brighter season calls for contrast. As a contrast to the darkness we’ve left behind us we turn to the bright, fun and flirty for that extra ‘spring’ in our steps! (Pun intended!). What’s more is that there is no one to fit this description more, according to the BuyMYheels.com team, than the fellow shoe-lover... Correction, The Queen Bee of shoe lovers: Carrie Bradshaw. Yes she may be the fictional wonder created from the glorious mind of Candace Bushnell, but her style is eternal.

It’s already inspired all ages of women and will continue in doing so as the experimentations of pattern, colours, volume and textures in an outfit will always be current and adaptable to trend. The one thing that will always stay the same is the shoe obsession including the King of Soles himself: Manolo Blahnik! Thank your fashion gods there’s always a demand for true style so head over the BuyMYheels ‘Shoe Shop’ to check out the latest designer product and start building your own shoe collection to rival Miss Carrie Bradshaw for Spring! xo.
